Jimboomba Hack Show 2020

The annual Jimboomba Pony Club Hack Show was held at the grounds on the 23rd February, and even the rain couldn't keep everyone away. We had just shy of 100 horses on the grounds, competing in over 90 classes. Days like this would not be able to go ahead without out wonderful sponsors.  So check out our wonderful sponsors and see what they can offer you!
We also had the wonderful Stacey Thomas Photography present on the day, so head over to her website to view the pictures!

2020 at Jimboomba Pony Club

The 2020 year has kicked off and we have a very exciting year ahead. Already this year we have had our first rally for the year and had Olympic Eventing rider Matt Ryan come and do a clinic for our riders! It was such a great learning experience for our members and look forward to getting Matt back in the future!
We also have our Hack Show coming up at the end of February, and we will be holding a Showjumping and  Dressage and Combined training competition this year in addition to our annual Gymkhana!

JPC & Zone 2 Gymkhanas

June was a very busy month for our members, with the club holding their own Gymkhana on the 9th and the Zone 2 Gymkhana 2 weeks later.
Our gymkhana had a huge 75 riders on the day with many of our riders placing in the top 3 for their age group.
The Zone Gymkhana 2 weeks later was also very well attended. JPC Riders did a stellar effort and claimed not only many individual achievements, but the club also placed 3rd in the March Past, and then went on to win Overall High Points club and the Formal High Points for a club.

We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all the riders, helpers, judges and sponsors that made this day happen!

Some of our riders headed down to Mudgeeraba pony club on the 2nd of June to compete at the first Gymkhana in our Zone for the year.
Everyone had a great day out, with lots of smiles, ribbons and a few overall placings!
This was a great lead up to our club gymkhana which is taking place on the 9th of June! - 02.05.2019

Clinics!

During the year we try and hold a few clinics to allow our members access to equestrian professionals!
We have just had our Meet the Judge Clinic with Sylvia Nelms who is an Elementary level Judge with Equestrian Queensland and a B Level Pony Club Queensland Instructor. This gave our members a better idea of what the judge will be looking for in the dressage arena and how and where to improve. We had some fantastic feedback and will be looking forward to holding another of these events later in the year.
Our next clinic will be in August with Becky Jenkins who is a world cup level Showjumper and has received numerous awards and nominations for her coaching. We will be releasing a program and taking nominations very shortly.

Another action packed weekend for Jimboomba Pony Club Riders!
Saturday saw some of our younger riders (Sierra, Pippa, Layla, Arianna & Scarlett) compete at the Runcorn Pony Club Sporting day and pick up overall prizes across the board, then then backed it up again today with the Runcorn Pony Club Gymkhana with riders again picking up many ribbons, trophies and personal bests!
Sunday Also saw Mitchell and Ashlee compete at the Greenbank Dressage and Combined Training Day. With Mitchell picking up a 2nd overall in the CT and 3rd in Dressage, and Ashlee coming 1st Overall in the CT.
Also not to be forgotten Instructor and Committee Member Michelle, had a slight change of horse at the Aquis Champions tour and piloted club favourite Thomas successfully around the 80 & 90cm course on Friday. 05.05.2019
